Streszczenie: Long before American involvement, the roots of the major war are revealed in France's and Britain's hostility to the Vietnamese communist revolution. The series traces the defeat of French colonialism, and growing U.S. concern over communism's supposed "domino effect" in Southeast Asia. All too soon, American fighting forces found themselves in a full-scale war they found baffling, exciting, deadly and unforgettable. Vietnam details the massive Tet offensive and other key battles, civil turmoil on the home front, the final struggle toward peace, and the war's persistent aftermath.
